The Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (ESB) has opened applications for
500 key positions in the state police, including Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI),
Subedar, and Steno/Typist, as part of the government’s initiative to strengthen
law enforcement.
The recruitment drive includes roughly 400
ASI/Subedar posts and 100 Steno/Typist positions. Selection will involve a
written examination, physical efficiency test (PET), document verification, and
medical examination.
Applications began on October 3, 2025, and will
close on October 17, 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online at esb.mp.gov.in, with fees set at Rs 500
for the general category and Rs 250 for reserved categories. Applicants must
ensure all details are accurate, as corrections are only allowed until October
22.
The written exam is scheduled for December 10,
2025, in two shifts—morning and afternoon—and will cover General Knowledge,
Hindi, English, Reasoning, and Mathematics. Candidates must bring original
photo identification, such as a Voter ID, PAN, Aadhaar (UIDAI verified),
Driving License, or Passport, or risk being barred from the exam. Electronic
devices, including mobiles, calculators, and log tables, are strictly
prohibited.
This recruitment is part of a broader push by the Madhya Pradesh government to strengthen the police force, which also includes 7,500 recently announced constable positions. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has set a target to fill over 21,000 police vacancies within three years, aiming for a robust and well-staffed force across the state.
