The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) kicked off its 2025-26 campus placement season with a historic milestone, securing a staggering 672 job offers on the very first day — the highest ever recorded in the institute’s history.

This remarkable start signals a 16% year-on-year increase and underscores the growing trust global and domestic recruiters place in IIT Kanpur’s talent pool.

By the end of Day One, 627 students had successfully secured offers, including 253 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), marking a 20% rise in placements and a 27% jump in PPOs compared to last year.

The surge reflects the institute’s effective blend of rigorous academics, hands-on internships, and proactive career support that equips students to meet evolving industry demands.

Significantly, nine students clinched overseas job offers, showcasing IIT Kanpur’s expanding global footprint. Over 250 prominent companies — including Accenture, BlackRock, HSBC, SAP, Airbus, PwC, Qualcomm, and Deutsche Bank — participated in the placement drive, spanning diverse sectors and technical domains.

With more recruiters set to join in the coming weeks, IIT Kanpur continues to solidify its reputation as a premier hub of innovation and excellence, preparing graduates to shape impactful professional futures worldwide.
