The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has released the official datesheet for the 2026 Class 12 board examinations. The theory exams are scheduled from February 18 to March 21, 2026, with papers beginning at 10 am. The timetable is now available on the council’s official website.

According to the notification, theory papers will be held from 10 am to 1 pm, while vocational subjects will follow shorter or varying time durations depending on the course. Admit cards will be available for download online from December 15, 2025.

Internal assessments for regular students are scheduled between December 22 and December 31, 2025, with each test lasting 30 to 45 minutes. Practical examinations for both regular and ex-regular students will be conducted from January 2 to January 15, 2026, and will run for two hours.

Candidates who miss internal assessments or practical exams for valid reasons will be given a final window to appear between January 10 and January 15, 2026.

CHSE Chairman Mrunal Kanti Das confirmed the details while announcing the schedule:
“The practical examinations will be conducted from January 2 to 15, while admit cards will be made available online from December 15,” he said.

This year, 4,00,736 students are registered for the examination. Of them:

·        2,56,042 are from the Arts stream

·        1,14,238 from Science

·        24,533 from Commerce

·        5,923 from Vocational programmes

The board has set up 1,350 exam centres across Odisha, with enhanced surveillance and monitoring systems in place.

Security, monitoring and exam protocols tightened

To ensure a fair and transparent examination process, all centres will operate under CCTV surveillance. The council will also establish 210 secure exam hubs to store question papers.

These hubs will be equipped with AI-enabled monitoring systems, while practical examination venues will have webcast and live-streaming facilities, said CHSE Controller of Examinations Prasanta Kumar Parida.

Additionally, two flying squad units per district, each comprising six members and equipped with vehicles, will conduct surprise inspections to curb malpractice.

Students have been advised to reach exam centres at least 30 minutes early and must enter the examination hall 15 minutes before the start time. For Commerce stream students, project evaluation and viva voce will be conducted by school teachers in groups of 24.

With the schedule now public, students are urged to begin final preparations and track all critical dates and official updates leading up to the examinations.
