The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has officially scheduled the JEE Advanced 2026 exam for May 17, marking the next decisive hurdle for engineering aspirants aiming to secure admission in the elite IITs.
Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates from the JEE Main 2026 exams will earn the
right to compete in this fiercely competitive, national-level test — widely
regarded as the ultimate gateway to India’s premier technology institutes.
This year, the JEE Advanced will be held in a
fully computer-based format across multiple cities nationwide. The examination
will span six intense hours, divided into two mandatory papers: Paper 1 from
9:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates
must clear both papers to qualify.
Eligibility hinges on performance in JEE Main
2026, which is conducted in two sessions: January 21–30 and April 1–10, 2026,
offering aspirants multiple chances to secure a top 2.5 lakh rank to qualify
for JEE Advanced.
The question papers will be available in both English and Hindi to maximize accessibility. IIT Roorkee will soon release the detailed information bulletin, including the syllabus, registration process, marking scheme, and list of exam cities on the official website — jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates are urged to stay updated to navigate the final leg of this highly competitive journey.
